ABAA Procrastinator’s Day Speaker Bios

Ryan Dalgleish has been involved in the building enclosure and building performance areas of construction in both the commercial and residential sectors for over 20 years. He acts in the position of Chief Operating Officer for the Air Barrier Association of America. Ryan is actively involved in research, training development and delivery, certification management and helping industries increase their professionalism. He obtained credentials in Adult Education, Leadership and Organizational Excellence from the University of Manitoba and has been mentored and trained by some of the best building scientist’s in the world. Ryan is a certified Net Zero building instructor, teaches master builder courses to builders across the country and is a frequent speaker at various technical presentations dealing with the building enclosure to various building official associations, city departments, building enclosure councils and chapters of the American Institute of Architects, Construction Specifications Institute and a number of local home builder associations.

Andrew Dunlap’s primary work experience is focused on the analysis and development of building enclosure systems including wall cladding assemblies, air barrier systems, roofing, skylights, fenestration systems and waterproofing. Specializing in the energy and hygrothermal evaluation and analysis of wall, fenestration, and roof systems, Andrew utilizes a number of advanced computerized analysis and simulation tools to perform his work. He received his B. Arch, B.S. in Mathematics, and M. Arch degrees from the University of Detroit Mercy. Andrew is also active participant in the design and construction community, providing presentations and publications to several industry organizations.

Meagan is currently active in the local CSI and USGBC chapters and serves as the Electronic Communications Chair for the Baltimore CSI Chapter.  She is the Director of Sales for York and has been part of the York team for over six years.

Meagan gives presentations on flashing compatibility, sustainability, and performance to architectural, engineering, and consulting firms across the country. She oversees and manages York’s sales team across all regions of the USA. Meagan also provides trainings for masonry contractors and performs job site visits to bring masons the latest technology and best flashing practices.

Meagan earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science from McDaniel College and is pursuing her MBA through Colorado State University.

Vanessa Henley is the Category Manager of Facades at Tremco CPG Inc. In their role, they determine the strategy for Tremco Insulation, Finishes, and Air Barriers. She manages the Facades team comprising product and technical experts. Vanessa has been a member of the Tremco product management team for four years and focused their career on product management and product development. She is an active member of the marketing committee for the Air Barrier Association of America.

Roy Schauffele - Board of Directors - ABAARoy Schauffele is an internationally published author and speaker in the fields of energy conservation and sustainable building envelopes including insulation, air barrier technology, roofing & waterproofing, vegetative & cool roofing, all with an eye towards improving building science, performance, and quality of life.

He is President and founder of Division 7 Solutions, Inc, now entering its 35th year of continuous operations.
Roy currently serves, at the request of the ABAA (Air Barrier Association of America) Board and Executive Committee, as the Executive Advisor to the ABAA. He has served on the ABAA Executive Committee as a Director at Large of the ABAA, after 3 terms as Chairman, also the first Regional ABAA Regional Advocate. As an appointee by the City Council of San Antonio, he has served as a Technical Advisor to Build San Antonio Green (BSAG) and was an award winner in 2012 for his Technical Contributions to BSAG and was named the (2016) Individual Green Practitioner for Sustainable Education and Outreach.

Globally, he is the only person to be a Fellow of both CSI and ABAA, and he was the first to become a Certified Air Barrier Specialist. He continues to be a requested national speaker on all items related to Division 7 Thermal & Moisture, and especially on air barriers, roofing, insulation, energy conservation design, and sustainability.

Corey Zussman | Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA)Corey is a registered Architect in several states, practicing for more than 30 years. He specializes in building envelope, restoration, preservation, life safety, and interior finishes. Corey is currently the Director of Quality Assurance for Pepper Construction Company in Chicago, where he has promoted a formal quality program for more than seven years and works on 50-75 projects a year, conducting constructability reviews, pre-installation meetings, comprehensive envelope meetings, and construction observations, in addition to providing educational opportunities throughout the industry. Corey has produced more than 150 “lessons learned” papers about building envelope and life safety concerns to proactively address issues during design review, pre-construction, and construction. He maintains an extensive database of quality metrics gathered on more than 1,000 buildings and $3 billion worth of work and developed a quality app for mobile devices which houses the lessons learned papers and allows for easy access and construction verification in the field.
