Value Engineering the Air Barrier

The presentation looks at the process and impact of Value Engineering with respect to the Air Barrier specification and design intent. The Air Barrier Association of America has developed a three-prong approach to the installation of Air Barrier Components, Auxillary materials and air barrier materials, the contractors and installers of these materials and the confirmation that the design intent has been met.

The presentation will identify current Value Engineering (V.E.) trends and identify shifts in liability associated with Value Engineering.

  3. Become familiar with financial components of the Air Barrier Installation.
